- ungraduated (1992) in DMA (Mathematical Departament) of UEM (Maringá States University).
- master in mathematical science (1995) on ICMC - USP (Institute of Mathematical and computational Science of São Carlos - São Paulo States University). The advaisor is Washingtom Marar and the dissertation is "Brieskorn Manifolds and Pseudo-homogeneous polinomial" (portuguese)
- Ph D. in mathematical science (2000) on ICMC - USP (Institute of Mathematical and Computational Science of São Carlos - São Paulo States University). The advaisor is Professor Osamu Saeki and co-advaisor is Professor Oziride Manzoli Neto.The thesis is "Open book structures on (n-1)-connected (2n+1)-manifolds" (portuguese).

Desktop, some softwares and programming language
- Operationg System: Ubuntu Linux (with GNOME desktop).
- Programming Languages: C/C++, Java, and Pascal. Mostly using C++ on GCC compiler, with Geany and Code::Blocks as IDE.
- Office Suite: Open Office.
- LaTeX: TeXMaker / TeXMakerX (like linux LaTeX editor Kile), LyX (WYSIWYG like LaTeX editor -- LyX is most used). jPDFTWeak (to finalize/manage PDF material), and jabref (graphical BibTeX file editor).
- Graphics: Inkscape (vector based graphics editor) and Gimp (image editor).
- Multimedia: VideoLan (movie player), AVIDemux (video editor), k9copy (movie DVD backup, for linux), DVD Styler (movie DVD maker), and TV time (watch TV -- for linux only).
- Internet: Mozilla Firefox, Evolution (mail client), pidgin (multiprotocol chat), skype (VoIP), KompoZer (HTML editor. Using 0.8 beta), bluefish (HTML/PHP source editor), LifeRea (online news reader for linux).
- Mathematical Software: GNU Octave + QtOctave (MatLab clone + GUI), maxima (computer algebra) , GeoGebra (dynamic geometry), k3Dsurf (plot surfaces), and gnuplot (plotting tools).
- Maintenance: gparted (disk partition editor for linux), testdisk/photorec (recovery data/photo), etc contained on System Rescue CD.
- Others: qemu (virtual machine), Brasero (CD/DVD software for linux only), PDF Shuffler (GUI to manage PDF on linux), xournal (linux/win notetaking, but can write over PDF -- Other free software of this kind is jarnal).

Other freeware that recommend (some are for linux only)
- System Rescue CD is linux boot CD with maintainnence/rescue usefull for all systems.
- gscan2pdf (linux only) convert scanned image set to pdf/djvu converter.
- Audacity is sound editor.
- scribus for publishng material.
- imagination (linux only) is easy to use, nice slideshow maker.
- DeVeDe is easy to use, movie DVD maker.
- qDVDauthor (linux only) for movie DVD authoring.
- winff GUI for FFMPEG to convert movies.
- hugin to produce panorama (photo) and perspective correction.
- wine to run windows applications on intel linux. It help person that insist in use windows only software.
- NetBeans is cross platform Java Programming IDE.
- Lazarus is freepascal based, cross platform Borland Delphi clone (cloned libs and IDE).

Freewares that recommend for windows users
- Above apps that I use or recommed, that are not marked as linux.
- PortableApps run from USB disk/pendrive. The site contains set of freewares ported to portableapps. PortableSuite and almost of their apps run on linux using wine.
- AVG free is antivirus.
- 7-zip is archieve manager. Best replacement for winzip/winrar.
- infrarecorder is CD/DVD recorder,
- sumatraPDF is light weight PDF viewer with PDF sync support.
- pdfcreator is virtual printer to produce PDF.
- texniccenter is LaTeX editor. Personally, I recomend TexMaker / TeXMakerX, but TexnicCenter became popular and it support PDFsync if used with sumatrapdf.
- ThunderBird is cross platform mail client.
- Cornice is ACDSee like image viewer.
- FileZilla is cross platform file transfer client). Support resume for large files.
- CygWin (linux layer emulation for windows) and X Ming (X server for windows). By CygWin, can install and use large set of linux applications in easy way. Using X Ming, will use unix/linux graphicall applications from local CygWin or remote machines.
