Resumo: We introduce a discrete Hodge-Dirac operator for planar graphs and compare it with alternative constructions proposed in the literature. We justify our definition by proving that, for periodic graphs, it does not generate spurious at bands. We then analyze its spectrum on Archimedean lattices and investigate whether additional at bands arise relative to those of the Laplacian. Although new at bands do appear, we show that they are inherited from the at bands of the associated dual (Catalan) graphs.
